UK Advanced Engineering Global Strategy Launch

This ministerial  launch event organised on behalf of UK Trade & Investment took place on the 11th of March 2009. The event incorporated a live satellite broadcast between two venues in Birmingham and London, with keynote speeches, question and answer sessions with government ministers and high profile speakers in the advanced engineering field. This event attracted 220 delegates and included a presentation of the strategy and the launch of a website to promote UK advanced engineering capability.

 


Westminster Meet the Buyers

North East Regional Business Fair

This two day event took place on 25th and 26th February 2009.  Incorporating a Meet the Buyer event with over 90 attending buyers, an exhibition with over 50 exhibitors, a business advice zone, and 2 days of seminars and workshops; this event attracted over 1400 visitors making it the biggest and most successful event of its type held in the North East of England.

Local Opportunities from London 2012

The South London 2012 seminars were part of the Olympic and Paralympics 2012 Community Engagement events run for London Borough of Croydon on behalf of Croydon Council.  They were designed to ensure that businesses within South London not only gained an increased understanding of the nature of the 2012 opportunity, but crucially were also given training to help them to access these opportunities.  Seven workshops were held in each South London borough and over 300 delegates attended.

UK Advanced Engineering 2008 – Seminar Mission to India, 2008

This programme of three events taking place in India was organised by BtoB on behalf of UK Trade and Investment Advanced Engineering Team. BtoB designed, developed and delivered a high profile series of three one-day events focusing on the Advanced Engineering sector to be held in Bangalore, Pune and Chennai in India. The seminar were designed to promote the UKs strong advanced engineering capability and facilitate business to business networking between UK and Indian companies.

The series of events was seen by UK Trade and Investment, the UK companies and Indian delegates as a fantastic success. A total of 409 Indian delegates and 32 speakers/presenters attended.

Winning Business from Big Business

Winning Business from Big Business is a is a unique seminar programme designed to help small businesses increase their competitive advantage and win new business directly from large organisations, or within supply chains. This programme took place between February and April 2008 and consisted of 14 seminars covering all aspects of the procurement procurement process and looking specifically at certain industry sectors.
